Women In Photography International - Executive Director
(part-time)

WIPI is looking to hire a part-time Executive Director , to help develop projects, implement the mission and vision of the organization and to oversee staff and projects. As organization grows, position will also grow into full time. Must have experience with grant writing and organizational development. Salary commensurate with experience, work from own home, Los Angeles based.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledgeable about Photography, Photo companies and Photographers
  • Handle personnel management and administrative functions
  • Membership, maintain membership log
  • Work closely w/the Editor to discover and develop talent of members
  • Fundraising networker
  • Development of new funding sources
  • Responsible for communication with board members or advisors
  • Participate in organizational strategy with Board Members
  • Responsible for outreach projects, visibility of WIPI
  • Able to speak at events on behalf of WIPI, when appropriate
  • Arrange for and manage outside consultants, as needed
  • Coordination events and volunteers
  • Media point person for the organization. Acting as a spokesperson when appropriate.
  • Grant-writing and reporting
  • Able to handle basic legal questions, or know where to find the answers.
  • Must be savvy with using the Internet, email, Excel spreadsheets, Word. QuarkXpress and FileMaker Pro, PhotoShop a plus, knowledge of Mac and PC helpful.
  • Second language helpful, Spanish and/or French.
