Raised in a difficult , confusing time of postwar Berlin, I found a balance and freedom, an emotional outlet in painting dance and poetry. Living in Santa Monica my creative impulses focus on Photography. As in painting, images are presented to me, pictures literally frame themselves to be captured. I love to 'Freeze a Moment', that is, paint with a lens. Photos reveal a magical world; spirit showing life in a new way. A unifying factor in my pictures is the quality of light. My favorite subjects are my family, my grandchildren, nature and animals. All are colorful gifts from God.
