Horses inspire me with their intelligence,playfulness and their ability to communicate with us. I use my photography to capture their essence in images. Horses touch my life in a way that nothing else can. I feel their spirit in my very soul. I use color and texture to enhance the flowing manes and rippling muscles. I use slow shutter speeds to allow us to see the nuances of movement, fast shutter speeds to stop the action. Sometimes the only way to truly see an image is through the simplicity of black & white. I live on a small ranch in Skull Valley, Arizona.
