Cathy Greenblat is Professor Emerita of Sociology at Rutgers University where she served for 35 years as a member of the Departments of Sociology and Women’s Studies.  The author of 15 books and more than 100 articles, she traveled and lectured around the world. Since 2002 she has been engaged in a cross-cultural photographic project on aging, dementia, and end of life care. Photographs from her 2004 book, Alive with Alzheimer’s (U Chicago Press) and from her 12 year followup project on Alzheimer’s care in 8 countries (Love, Loss and Laughter – Lyons Press, 2012) have been exhibited in the USA, Europe, India, Japan, and Australia. Her project on palliative care has also been exhibited in the USA and Europe. She offers illustrated lectures on these subjects.
 
Cathy is also an Honorary Professor at Glasgow Caledonian University, and a Researcher and Artist at the University Hospital Network (CHU) of Nice, France. After living for 11 years in Nice, she returned to the USA in late 2012 and travels internationally from her new base in Palm Springs, CA.
