Hello, Please review the WIPI website for our past history as well as our current WIPI F-2-eZine articles as well as product information, marketing techniques, digital applications, call for entries and exhibitions. Since WIPI's transition from a paperbound newsletter to an online resource in November, 1999 we have provided a volume of incredible work by women photographers from around the globe. Our Archives will take walk you into the lives of many contemporary photographers as well as articles from the Peter Palmquist historical perspective. We have
enjoyed a wealth of professional support through our juror
committees as well and sponsors
over the past online seven and one half years.rior to our online launch,
WIPI enjoyed a wonderful
history of exhibits and programs, Between
2006 and 2007, WIPI provided the extraordinary opportunity for women
photographers to participate in the 2006 25th
Anniversary juried competition with the
resulting, Kodak sponsored limited edition book, Turning Silver.
2007 followed with two juried competitions, The
Portrait and 2007
Competition. If you have time, look through our exhibition list and galleries to see the incredible accomplishments of women's work. Visit the WIPI news story "High Adventure: The Pioneering Aerial Photographs of Mary Upjohn Meader" along with Amy Tierney and Maya Myers involvement in “I Dream to… Step Up Womens’ Network’s "Photojournalism for Girls" and Catherine Bauknight's challenge to shed light on the indigenous people of Hawaii - A Voice for Sovereignty If you are looking for a photographer, check out our Hire-A-WIPI Pro section.
