Barbara
has been a commercial photographer specializing in architectural photography for
30 years, and in the last 15 of those years, has been concentrating more and more
on doing fine art photography. Although this is not her main emphasis, she has
a great interest in landscape and wildlife photography, which takes her to many
places in the Western Hemisphere – the Colorado Plateau, the National Parks,
South America, and Antarctica.
The large part of her interest is in Asian
countries, particularly Burma. This is where she feels more at home and where
she gets most of her inspiration for her photos.
She was born in Los Angeles,
and grew up in Orange, CA. After attending the University of Arizona and getting
a BA in Education, she spent the next 20 years being a housewife and mother before
starting her photography career. Next year will be her sixth year exhibiting at
the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, and she has been involved in many other
group shows.
